Shantel and Josh's Bilpin Wedding Photography

Josh & Shantel's special country wedding day set in the beautiful little town of Bilpin on the estate of Suzarosa. Set on 8 acres, located in a quiet part of the Blue Mountains, between Bilpin and Mount Tomah we were spoiled with panoramic views over Wollemi National Park.

Arriving at Suzarosa, the bridal party were all together in preparation for the wedding. The weather was looking cloudy and threatening to rain. Beautiful mist was rolling in.

We loved photographing the girls getting ready and Shantel chose the most gorgeous wedding dress by Madison James from Brides of Sydney. We headed over to the boys where the room was full of laughter and jokes and just a few nerves! Shantel's little nephew made for a very cute page boy in his vest and suit.

After a beautifully relaxing morning of preparations, we headed over to the indoor wedding ceremony where Josh was eagerly awaiting his beautiful bride and his gorgeous little daughter who made for the sweetest little flower girl.

The wedding Celebrant Jeanette Lavander conducted the official wedding ceremony which was full of emotion with the guests looking on as our bride and groom exchanged their vows and wedding rings made by Carati Jewellers. An arbour with florals and draping was the perfect frame to the outisde view of the misty mountains in the background.

Shantel was understandably upset that it was raining on her wedding day and was worried about her location photography.... that was until we showed her the back of the camera, saw some of our images and realised that she would get something no one else had. We think you will agree the misty, rainy wedding day gave our bride and groom images that are truly unique and romantic.

After some amazing shots walking around the property we headed back to the outdoor wedding marquee where the guests were enjoying drinks and canapés. The marquee was styled with soft pinks and pastels and a delicious wedding cake created by All Things Sweet by Carissa.

We ended the night out in the mist and the raindrops for some absolutely epic shots that we backlit. Shantel and Josh were so accommodating and not afraid to get a little wet. It was totally worth it as you can see. We would never have been able to achieve such a shoot unless it was raining. It just goes to show rain on your wedding day can be good luck! These images will be amazing as wall art pieces and acrylic photo blocks in Shantel and Josh's home.
