Sarah and Cody's Pre-Wedding Photography Session

Updated: Mar 3, 2020

Congratulations to our newly engaged couple Cody & Sarah who we joined at Yarramundi River along with their little puppy, Randal for a professional engagement photo location session.

Sarah and Cody opted for a casual approach to celebrate their engagement. Casually dressed and shoes off, the riverbed was the perfect place for us to all take a stroll. It goes without saying their little puppy Randal, enjoyed it more than anyone!

Yarramundi Reserve is one of our favourite pre wedding locations to shoot and is located at the confluence of the Grose and Hawkesbury-Nepean Rivers. With its 78-hectare riparian setting, Yarramundi Reserve is one of the Hawkesbury’s most popular parks, offering us some amazing photographic opportunities.

We decided together, that an afternoon shoot here was the best time as our couple was looking for some of our golden sunlit shots we are best known for... and we spent the afternoon chasing the light as the sun set behind the mountains.

Sarah and Cody were eager to experience a photography shoot before their upcoming wedding next year. Getting comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day can help calm any nerves.

Your pre wedding shoot is also a great opportunity to look at the technical ability of your chosen photographer, their ability to photograph in different lighting situations and different weather conditions. A great portrait or wedding photographer should be able to expose their images and shoot under pressure in any conditions. Our team loves to show our engaged couples some of the type of shots they can expect (weather permitting of course!)

Our Senior Photographer Sarah captured these engagement photos. Sarah is a member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers AIPP. An Accredited Professional Photographer is a photographer, who doesn't just claim to be a "professional" but earns that title by successfully completing a rigorous AIPP accreditation process.

By bringing their beloved furry friend along for the shoot it added another dimension to the engagement photography. Pets can be a wonderful distraction and calming influence during shoots. What do they say - never work with pets and children? Well we do it all ....We are very experienced with wrangling pets (and kids for that matter!)

If you bring your pet along for your photography session, we will keep them calm and include them whenever possible. We ask our couples to have treats on hand so we can use them as needed. We will be guided by you as to the personality of your pet and how to best handle them during the photography shoot.

We believe that connecting with your photographer is crucial to enjoying your engagement photo session or your wedding photography experience. We discuss with all of our couples to take the time to get to know your photographer. Discuss and plan your shoot as much as you can so you are both on the same page when it comes to your photography.

As we ended the photography shoot our couple walked off ahead into the sunset making for some of the more memorable shots of the day.

There are many ways we like to print our engagement photography pieces. You can choose from wedding guest signing books, save the date cards, photo albums and wall pieces along with many other options to suit your home and wedding day.

Your pre-wedding photography can be a stand alone session or combined with a wedding photography package. If you want to speak to us or you have any questions about your pre wedding photography or wedding photography call us today or email us here.

Our pre wedding photography packages are also available to give as a gift voucher. The perfect gift if you are headed to an engagement party or perhaps for a dating anniversary.
